and that's something to be very, very glad about.
i truly never know how i'm going to feel when i wake up...like i want to stay in bed all day? or full of hope and peace that can ONLY come from Him?
thankfully, the last 2 days have been good days.
sawyer is obsessed, and i mean, OBSESSED with trains. it's cute. and kind of annoying as he is constantly wanting me to "fick it!" as the train around the christmas tree has a hard time staying on it's track. i try to remind myself, "these moments are precious..." as i put those wheels back on the track one.more.time...knowing i will be doing it again in about 30 seconds.
bailey is still obsessed with writing.
"mom? how do you spell...'my ear feels a little bit better?'" :-)
joshua is still obsessed with reading.
got the tub of christmas books out and he's made it his goal to read EVERY SINGLE ONE.
he's almost done...and it's only december 1st!
got all 24 presents wrapped!
each day one child opens a present...most of them are things we already have...like christmas books or cd's or movie's that we will read/listen to/watch during the month. it forces us to read/listen to/watch that book/cd/movie that day. i sit down with my calendar and plan it all out!
some of the other things are:
a new nativity they are opening today!, a bag of candy, a gingerbread house to make, a box of lights for the day we will drive around and look at lights...
it's a fun tradition!
no deep or meaningful purpose...just for fun!
because, you know, i'm obviously a bundle of fun these days :-)
it was in the 60's yesterday afternoon so we went for a walk.
it was wonderful {mostly because my HEART was good...}
rebekah is one amazing person. we had some GREAT talks and moments on this walk.
i love how she's helping 2 of her siblings in this picture - helping bailey up and looking back to make sure sawyer is ok.
i ache for her to know her 2 other brothers...they are going to be SO blessed by her.
it was a pretty big rock!
all 4 of them...
my current obsessions to eat:
pecans
oatmeal with brown sugar
random, huh??
headed home.
the time with sawyer after bailey gets on the bus continues to be one of the sweetest moments of my day.
i force myself to completely focus on him (it's not hard to make myself do! :-))
and knowing that naptime for him and quiet time for me is so close helps!
how is YOUR december 1st??

what nativity did you get? I have been looking for a good one
I love how our kids have some of the same obsessions right now...they'd be so fun to get together!
Praying for your heart.
I love these kinds of posts! Just sharing about what's going on around your house and life with your kids...
Sweet pictures.
So glad that your Dec. 1 was good!!
