they won't all be this fun and exciting...but today's gift was a new nativity for the kids.
the Little People one.
i've wanted it for years...
we've never had a nativity set until now {kind of a long story...}
sawyer got to open it.
{we don't always have ladders in our family room...the angel still needs to be put on the tree...}
they all played with it ALL afternoon.

what a fun day...so many moments that i just treasured in my heart...sitting on the floor of rebekah's closet with her and talking...bailey's hugs...joshua's always-thinking brain and questions...sawyer's words that only i can understand...

we didn't realize our little people nativity took batteries...so last year, it was nice and quiet...this year? i've heard "away in a manger" about 4,508,392 times already!! :)
and what?! no nativity until now?! maybe i am crazy (ok, i know i am)...i have 5 of them!!
IF you don't keep a ladder in your living room, COurt, then how in the world do you scrub the top of the fireplace stone every Monday. You DO do that, right?
I mean, I do. So I totally hope so.

We love our Little People Nativity! It's been fun watching Gaby discover it this year. Always love their new discoveries!
we got one to bring back for the kids and it was their first present this year as well... BUT ours doesn't have the blue background like yours does... I am feeling a bit cheated... my kids like it too. They played with it until dad came home, then it lost the excitement... they haven't seen him since Sunday afternoon, so I can understand!
we LOVE our little people nativity!!!! i am so glad that you got one!! our baby Jesus "went missing" yesterday. i was starting to get kind of nervous that somehow we had actually LOST baby Jesus! and then when i was getting karley ready for bed, i found baby Jesus stuffed in her sock!! i laughed and said, "what is baby Jesus doing in your sock??!!" she looked at me with THE MOST adorable look in her eyes and face and said to me, "baby Jesus mine. do wif (go with) me." oh tears filled my eyes!!! how can i argue with that. i think that she had carried him around all day like that (to pick up the girls, to the grocery store, to church.) and i never noticed each time i put on her shoes. oh and my girls opened their shirts yesterday! the LOVE them and wore them all day. and i loved explaining how those shirts were going towards bringing your boys home. and we had so many good questions about adoption etc. i will send you a picture soon.
We have that set and our boys LOVE it! That is one of their favorite things when they know Christmas is coming. They refer to it as the "activity." :)
