the soccer tournament

whew!
what a day!
we made it and we are TIRED.
but it's that GOOD kind of tired!
we all have tired feet and legs, pink cheeks from the sun and full hearts.

GREAT 10 mile run.
headed out by 8 am to the tournament.
grandma and papa met us there for the first round of games.

{just learning that when i switch my lenses on my camera, i also have to switch the manual settings...still figuring it out so i have some pictures a "little" too bright! :-)}

soccer for bailey was just FUN.
she mostly "got it."
but didn't really care about scoring.
she just wanted to make someone laugh, joke with her coach and just have a good time.
love her.

they sure helped us out a LOT!

ate a quick lunch at chick fil a {got my first peppermint milkshake of the season!!!} and then headed back for round 2.

seriously, i can hardly take it when she plays goalie...but she is GOOD at it!

sawyer kept himself occupied...

there was some overlapping of games. and i missed some great moments because of it.
i missed rebekah's one and only goal {makes me sick...} but pat was there.
i missed joshua getting his trophy.
joshua's team went to the final game for his bracket and won the whole thing!

after the tournament was over, pat came home with the younger 2 so they could rest (it was 3:15 pm!) and i took the older 2 to a football game that some of our neighborhood boys were in.

barely got home in time to make dinner for a fun night with friends.
the kids had a blast playing and we enjoyed catching up.
the kitchen is clean.
i can barely keep my eyes open.
pat's already asleep here next to me on the couch.
it was a GREAT day.
