it's a word we maybe don't think about everyday.
because it's something most of us take for granted.
but those that have nothing in this world,
they are often also stripped of their dignity and that just isn't right.
jody (and some others) have started a new adventure and it's amazing.
her vision is always pushing us furthur...and deeper...
the first project of the adventure is two-fold (and you know how i LOVE efficiency! :-))
we are buying charcoal-efficient stoves for our friends in haiti.
i had NO idea how many people die from the toxic smoke put off by stoves and open fires...as they are trying to cook their food to EAT!
AND, as we give our money to purchase stoves, we will also be creating jobs for those IN haiti to make the stoves.
see, AWESOME, huh??
so, go and buy.
these stoves will give our friends in haiti dignity as they prepare food in SAFETY for their families.
AND as they have a job to bring home money for their families.
{they are the cutest little packages, too!}

I love that Jody brought this to our attention! Last night I ordered a box of coal for my sister and bro-in-law as an early Christmas present. They went on several missions in Haiti (again to help build wells and access Clean Water) so I know this gift will mean so much to them and their Haitian friends.
Thank you to you and Jody for opening our eyes to these awesome opportunities!
