there was sleeping in
and pat playing football
and the rest of us going to the gym because if we weren't ALL going to be home, i didn't want to be here
{i don't know...some weird stuff that i can't explain...i just couldn't be here without him}
and target on black friday with all 4 kids by myself
and oatmeal for lunch {who KNEW they loved oatmeal so much?!? awesome!}
and updating the budget
and cleaning up the kitchen...again...
and a couple loads of laundry
BUT the best part of today was the tree!
we went to the christmas tree farm...
pat cut it down
{i missed that part. i was holding sawyer up because all of a sudden he had to GO. and not #1 :-) and we were WAY out in the farm...i know. nice. he kept saying, "i freezing!" i'm all, "i KNOW! push it OUT!"}
the kids wanted to use the saw...
apple cider!
thanks to the dollar spot at target, i changed the "theme" {if you can call it that...}of our tree. it's always had red and gold balls on it. now it has pink, green, red, purple and turquoise balls. some with glitter. LOVE them!
my job was putting the hooks on the new ornaments...
his job was filling up the top of the tree
a full day.
my heart isn't in it. but the kids loved it.
we have a BIG surprise for the kids tomorrow!!!
can't WAIT to see their reaction!
and it's with one of our favorite families!

yeah!
ours is up too!
and why does it make me feel better that you guys don't 'do' ornaments (the traditional way, ya know?)
we don't either and I'm having guilt pep talks with myself lately...
:-)
Ahhhh, love your day! It is always interesting having some Thankgsgiving up and Christmas moving in.....once it is done, it is cozy and beautiful. Enjoy! Ours is "in the midst". Love you.
