each trail was marked with a color and the kids loved finding the markings as we went.
the trail we followed on tuesday was a "yellow" trail and it was a bit longer than the ones we hiked on sunday and monday.
and these trails weren't EASY.
we climbed rocks and walked through mud/puddles...
as we were walking, we came out of the forest into this scene.
we stopped and had a snack.
it was GORGEOUS!
as we started on our way again, rebekah's shoe got stuck in the mud and came OFF!
this was the halfway point of the hike!

the kids were pretty tired and it was getting close to naptime for the babies...so we walked back on the road instead of going through the whole trail. it made it a little shorter and not as difficult. everyone did really well!
