10-20 more inches of snow tonight.
goal today: find a shovel.
pat's going into work this morning...but then he'll be home.
and i don't think he'll have to go in tomorrow either!
this really is fun.
but this picture showed up on my screensaver (it just does a slideshow of all the pics on my computer) and i admit that it made me look forward to summer just a little bit :-)
{and how cute is bailey at 12 months old??}
ok.
enough of that.
off to shed my 16 layers of clothes i needed to run outside this morning!

love that shot!
here's a tip we figured out accidently:
hardware stores (some small ones, some gas stations) sell smaller shovels for your car trunk for "digging out in emergencies", or "kid shovels"- but like real ones and not play ones.
we've found we actually love those and take turns with the child/trunk shovel. Why? because the shovel full of snow is not as heavy, so you can work faster. and you k now i like a tough job, but this is actually fun/ tough because you can shovel faster with a smaller shovel load. (sometimes i even make sound effects when it becomes monotonous- i know, hard to imagine, huh? :)
but, if you can't find a big shovel, that's a tip. good luck. if we don't buy sleds by november, we're toast. it's all gone here early. i saw some kid shovels at Ace the other day, but that's it! :)
and hang tight, i'm coming over to enjoy your bathroom in a few minutes. as in, i'm moving into it. i'll bring my shovel and help because right now i'm living in a dorm with this bath reno! :)
we booked our beach house on friday...during our first THREE FEET of SNOW! The countdown is on. I am over winter. Ready for the SUN! :)
k-so i'm mildly jealous that you are having such an intense snow storm. colorado hasn't had one like that in a while and i miss it :)
