when it rains it pours

{photo taken of our driveway this morning}

we are confined to the house because of sawyer.
i was counting on my run this morning.
i assumed i'd be alone - since i knew it was going to be raining buckets.
but it was going to be my only chance and i needed it.

until we were up most of the night with joshua.
102+ fever.
just felt awful.
still don't really know what's wrong with him.
he just feels awful.
and i didn't get up and run since i hardly slept.

and as if that wasn't enough for a monday :-)

we have our FBI fingerprinting appt this afternoon.
at 3 pm.
when 2 kids are sleeping and 2 kids are getting out of school.
a good friend was going to watch my kids and get the older ones from school.
and i was going to watch her kids for her this morning for an appt she had.
none of that can happen now.
but this fingerprinting appt is very important.
it's part of our approval from our government to adopt internationally.
we need to to move forward.
we didn't make the appt.
they assign it to you.
and the paperwork says, "if you fail to appear as scheduled, your application will be considered abandoned."
we have to be there.

so my wonderful mom is coming.
found a sub at work at the last minute.
and is taking time off to come be with my sick kids.

so that we can pursue those 2 children of ours on the other side of the world.

feeling slightly overwhelmed.
very tired.
mad at my selfish thoughts and how things impact me.

i need to embrace this.
enjoy the time to be more still.
without the option to go to the gym and run errands and have people over.
i'm getting there.

when it rains it pours.
kinda waiting for what's going to happen next!

Good picture for your words! Sorry about your little sick ones. So glad your mom can make it over because you don't want to mess with USCIS! I hope your prints come back clean ☺
Praying for you now.
