soaking today in

i am loving today.
not sure what it is?
maybe the temperature being above freezing? and the sun out?

just soaking up the blessings all around me...trying to focus on today and not the worries and cares of tomorrow.

i haven't taken many pictures lately...especially "every day" ones...so i had my camera out this morning...

i'm going to share pictures from our morning and some quotes i've read recently...

"seasons don't last forever, so enjoy them"

don't you just love bailey's hair?? she was very specific about it this morning. it had to stick UP and there had to be a barrette HERE...etc, etc...

"time is what we want most but often use worst"

"am I training her to know or to live?"

“Eat a live frog every morning, and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.” -Mark Twain

sometimes i need to eat a live frog to gain perspective i guess :-)

Emerson,
"What you are speaks so loudly over your head that I cannot hear what you say."

To see life's journey
through the eyes of your heart
is to know that all is happening
exactly as it was meant to be.

"if you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere"

how is he big enough to be coloring with markers?
well, he probably isn't big enough.
but how cute is he??

LOVE this sight!
looked over and saw him sitting there reading.

love how his mouth is shaped to sound out the word to himself...

I want you to live this day abundantly, seeing all there is to see, doing all there is to do. Don’t be distracted by future concerns. Leave them to Me! Each day of life is a glorious gift, but so few people know how to live within the confines of today. Much of their energy for abundant living spills over the time line into tomorrow’s worries or past regrets. Their remaining energy is sufficient only for limping through the day, not for living it to the full. I am training you to keep your focus on My Presence in the present. This is how to receive abundant Life, which flows freely from My throne of grace.

Sarah Young, Jesus Calling

enjoy your day.
whatever it is.
whatever it holds.
it's not a mistake or a surprise.
