simplifying

this year feels "big" to me.
lots going on in my mind and heart on how to be prepared for all this year holds for us.

one of the things i desire...and that feels necessary...is to simplify things as much as possible.

i hope to do that little by little in every area of our life and home.

while we spent the afternoon outside on friday...i worked on 2 signs that have been hanging on my walls. literally ripped them off the wall, turned them over, and painted the backs of them.

changed this one from this:

to this:

some of you might think i'm crazy.
it's not as "fun"...but it's what i need to see.
"Love God. Love others."

and this one changed from this:

to this:

i loved how it looked before.
but it was just too complicated.
i love how it turned out.
