it's rare that i get to actually see her on her birthday!
so FUN!!!
my aunt Kim (my mom's sister) came to visit her for the day so she was here, too!
the kids loved seeing her again.
we played with a lot of things in a little bit of time.
then we had a special lunch for my very special mom:
chicken salad on yummy rolls
"fancy" chips
strawberries and blackberries
"fancy" lemonade
and chocolate chip scones with a candle in it for dessert!
mom...i loved doing something special for YOU.
you always make everything special for US.
and after lunch my mom and aunt watched bailey and sawyer so that i could go volunteer in joshua's classroom. which was so fun for me and him. thanks, mom and kim!!!

Oh Courtney you brought tears to my eyes. It is so wonderful that you have such a precious relationship with your Mom and that you took the time to express that to her. You're a wonderful daughter!
How special that it fell on a Wednesday so you could share in the day!! I was thinking about you all day today...and wishing I could call but knowing it was Wednesday...and now I know it was an extra SPECIAL Wednesday! :) What a great day!

i imagine your mom feels deeply accomplished on her birthday when she spends the day with you. i imagine that brings her a deep, incredible pride and joy.
