because one day i might want to remember.
as i go through each day i think i will never forget what my days look like.
but i know i will.
so...recording what my exercise routine looks like these days:
Monday - run 4-5 miles, swim 50 minutes {some sort of swim routine with sprints involved}
Tuesday - run 4-5 miles, yoga {it's my new thing...i don't love it...but i think my body does. i've had people tell me and read in numerous places that yoga is very good for runners...we are very "tight" and need to stretch our muscles. i admit, it feels good. but i'd rather be sweating...so...}, 1 hour spinning class after yoga every tuesday :-)
Wednesday - no running. do some sort of exercise video - normally one of my longer "Firm" tapes (oh, yes, VHS! baby!)
Thursday -run 4-5 miles {we normally do hill repeats on Thursdays}, do a quick "Firm" tape or "the deck of cards" workout {i have to be "ready" earlier this day than any other day
Friday - run 4-5 miles, swim 1 hour {1 1/2 miles}
Saturday - run at least 8 miles...usually 12 these days
Sunday - NOTHING
i know it sounds like a lot.
it is.
maybe too much.
but it keeps me sane.
and hopefully my heart healthy.
and i eat a lot.
a lot.
and i love it.
{exercise...AND eating! :-)}

you wear me out. back to doing 12s again on the weekend? oy. you want to come run the columbia half marathon with me at the end of february? sounds like you're ready to go already!!!
i found your blog through my friend, beth's blog and have been following it and praying for yall with the adoption. (we have two adopted children and are adopting again). what time do you work out? i'm amazed you find the time and fear you are going to say you are up at 5:00 or something. also, do you run outside each time?

i have no idea when you do all this and how you function the rest of the day.
that sounds like a really long, horrible nightmare to me! :)

heather...yes, i wake up at 5:15 am Mon, Tues, Thur and Fri to run. and then go to the gym or my basement for the other stuff. since day 1 i've done aerobics tapes WHILE my kids are awake so they know how to entertain themselves while i do it!
cassie - LAUGHING OUT LOUD at you :-) that my "dream" sounds like a "nightmare" to you. it IS so funny how different we all are! and i function ONLY because i take a 20ish minute nap every afternoon. otherwise, i can't make it through.
AND...i am IN BED at 10 pm (i need to go there 3 minutes ago!) i read til 11ish...but at least i'm in bed!
how do you do all this and raise babies! lol... maybe I will be inspired.

i could just collapse thinking about all of this! i wish i could be a swimmer. never been that comfortable at it. i think you are amazing!
