exciting stuff with rwandan adoptions right now.
4 families are in Rwanda getting their kids.
it's SO neat to follow their blogs.
and even more families got their referrals this past week
{which is when they send you the picture of the actual children they've picked for you!}
LOTS being processed in that country.
it's very exciting.
hard to imagine being there.
yet i ache for it.
and then wonder if we know what we're doing.
and then feel such confidence and peace it can only be from Him.
weird emotions.
BUT.
i made the mistake of asking our yahoo group of rwanda adopters what the ballpark figure is for travel expenses when we go.
YIKES!
i think i'm going to have to get creative and figure out a way to make some money once the holidays are over.

did you know one of those families is from muscatine originally??
i wonder if you're following them...
I cannot wait to see your referals, I just got chills thinking about it. love you guys, all 8 of you.
i was just thinking about that today---making money to support this adoption.
my guess is, you might have some friends who will join you in that effort.
i, for one, look forward to getting creative and supporting the growth of your family/ providing a home for two children in need.
you are not alone in anticipating these children, and i imagine you won't be alone in raising those funds for those travel expenses :)
shalom.
Let us know if you need fundraiser ideas, we had some good ones. We'll be in debt forever with the travel costs, but I don't regret for a moment that we took our whole crew.
yeah, something tells me they don't have cheap tickets to Rwanda on priceline.com!!!
Couldn't agree more with Robyn :)
When can I start bringing over my boxes full of donations for the spring adoption yard sale??? ;-) Believe me, there will be LOTS!
