moving on...

it was very sad having the girls sick yesterday.
we had to change lots of plans.
but...i FINISHED my christmas shopping!
down to the stockings and white elephant gifts for parties and wrapping paper!!!
AND i finished my christmas cards!!!
written, addressed, stamps on and IN the blue mail box today!

sad the girls were sick.
but it was VERY productive for me!

now they have finally gotten off the couch.
{they were both sick ALL DAY LONG yesterday...but woke up fine!}

didn't go to church {i did...i had nursery...everyone else stayed home and watched 101 Dalmations and drank ginger ale}

but they are up on their feet and shopping with grandma and papa!

just dropped them off.
it's the funnest tradition.
instead of anyone buying the "little kids" gifts for christmas, grandma and papa take all the grandkids shopping and they take turns buying 1 gift for each kid.
ex. Joshua would stay with papa while grandma takes the rest of them to pick out a gift for Joshua.

my siblings and i did this when we were kids.
i still remember how much fun it was!

my kids LOVE it.
and they are WAY more into those specific presents being opened than any other present at Christmas.
it's very special.

my parents are very generous to do it....to spend their time and money making it happen.
they are creating priceless memories.
