we live way out in the suburbs of washington, dc.
like 3 counties out in the suburbs.
my sister moved into the city a couple months ago.
{she never lived quite as far out in the suburbs as we do}
it's been a dream of hers.
my crew and i ventured into the city to see her and her cute place today.
i admit, i am not comfortable driving in those tight streets.
as i was sitting at a light {those lights last FOREVER!}, peering at my mapquest directions {every street is either a number or a letter...M street, 6th street...etc...} i looked over and saw this!
the Embassy of Botswana.
i started noticing others.
pretty cool.
all kinds of embassies from different countries!
we eventually made it to her place.
my sister and her friend were very kind to open the door to us :-)
i think it was good for my kids to see where Hannah lives.
they never could quite "get" that she didn't live with grandma and papa anymore.
now they do.
you should have heard their questions.
bailey asked her, "so, when you wear all your clothes here, do you go to grandma's house and get your other clothes?"
cute to see them process things out loud!
their place is SO cute and they've decorated it so nicely!
and we only had to tell her goodbye until tomorrow!
yay!!!

Oh so cute to see the kids at Hannah's house ~ what a treat for Hannah! :) The city life is definitely a good fit for her. So glad you all had fun! See you tomorrow.
i pass the embassy of the republic of iraq on my way to see ryan. it always makes me think of our troops. i love seeing what buidings house the different countries and how guarded or unguarded they are.
the streets here are so big here, it is amazing how small the streets are that we drive on!
