Hershey Park Christmas Candylane

after a long run.
and Pat's football game on Saturday morning...we took off for Hershey, PA!
we had heard about this from a couple friends and thought it sounded perfect for our family.

it was.

we haven't taken our kids to Hershey Park in "normal" season...so it was our first experience at Hershey Park.

Hershey, PA is where all the Hershey chocolate is made (think Reese's, Hershey's kisses, etc!)

The Christmas Candylane was awesome.
just some of the rides were working.
all the buildings were changed to different names (Santa's workshop, etc)
and all the vendors sold hot chocolate, coffee, pretzels...YUM!

we packed our lunch and ate it in the car right before we went in.

you measure yourself as you go in to see which rides you can ride.





these 3 could ride pretty much all the rides together.




and he was a trooper in the stroller...

santa's reindeer were even there! ;-)

the joy on their faces was so beautiful to me yesterday.
worth the money...and time...and putting aside of other things we could be doing...

and they had these potato chips made from potatoes right in front of you!
AMAZING!

each of the kids played {and won!} 1 game
{it was SO great that they each won one of those "quality" stuffed animals...to add to others that multiply in our house...}

and then, when the sun went down, it turned into a winter wonderland!
lights EVERYWHERE!!!
it was so beautiful!

as we left we took a tour of "Chocolate World"
this was the favorite of a couple of the kids.
it was pretty cool.

we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner on the way home.
it was my favorite part.
looking into their faces at the end of that day...so full of joy and pink from the cold.

a GREAT family day.
