i just want to remember this stage of my life.
every bit.
because i love it.
these are the noises of our morning...
when i get up, i'm the first one.
i get dressed to run...as quietly as possible {all my clothes laid out the night before in the bathroom}...and come downstairs.
it's pitch black outside.
after a few sips of water and putting on my running shoes, i sit down in the "big" chair in our study.
i turn 1 little light on.
and have a few minutes with God.
the house is silent.
except for me turning a page or writing in my prayer journal.
i head outside to run...closing the door ohsoquietly behind me.
when i return, pat is up.
he's in the basement lifting weights.
i hear the weights as he switches them on the bar.
and ESPN on the TV downstairs :-)
i'm in the kitchen.
making pat and rebekah's lunches.
at this point, having to "be quiet" is over.
it's 6:40ish and everyone should be stirring soon anyways.
as i'm making lunches i hear them.
little feet running to the bathroom.
the toilet flushing.
sawyer jumping up and down in his bed. squealing.
rebekah and bailey talking to each other.
{they have no "early morning" volume!}
joshua is normally the last one i hear.
but he's the first one ready, bed made, light off, ready for the day.
i head upstairs and get sawyer and change him.
his sweet "ha!" when i come in is the best!
the kids eventually come into sawyer's room as soon as they hear me in there.
all talking on top of each other.
and we're all up.
ready for our day.
it's 7 am.
i love the noises of my morning...

LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it.
I've always pictured having that many noises in my house. I love "listening" to yours. And remembering baby noises.
I miss that baby-in-the-crib-first-thing-greeting.
of course, i could never get up that early and go running. I am not that hard core :) many, many props.
much love-
i'm with you - totally love it. it's creepy quiet when they're all gone and you don't hear it, isn't it?
that was SO sweet Courtney---I could really picture all that in my mind!! :) what a morning---a sweet morning :)
that's sweet - I need to copy ;-)
