glad it's friday!

man...i'm SO glad it's friday.
this week has been long...and hard.

not exactly sure why...well, lots of "little" reasons...

i kind of feel like i've been thrown around a bit {like my mom and sister did with bailey and joshua one morning...except they LOVED the feeling!}

my heart is so heavy for my kids these days.
so heavy.
that i find myself literally feeling suffocated.
and that's not ok.
i need to give it all to Him. the One that created them. and has called me to be their mom.
i am holding on too tight.

i know it's only going to get harder...not easier as they get older.
so i need to figure this out or i'm going to have a nervous breakdown.

i've had some amazing moments with my kids this week...amidst all that's going on around us.
i'm so blessed.

one of our neighbors has puppies and they came and hung out in our driveway one afternoon.
sawyer was SO excited! i mean, screaming at the top of his lungs out of excitement.
he could barely contain himself!

the weather has been {mostly} gorgeous.
i love fall.

i get very frustrated with my kids sometimes, feeling like they don't "entertain" themselves well.
but i looked over this morning to this scene...joshua doing puzzles, and bailey setting up memory {for me to play with her}.

i'm getting the kids packed up for the weekend.
pat and i are having a "weekend away"...except we're staying home.
the kids get to be with the grandparents...and they can't WAIT!

pat and i are going to a "Your Church and the Orphan" workshop all day tomorrow...and other than that we are planning on sleeping, eating and talking whenever we want!

i'm feeling pretty worn down...emotionally and physically...so i hope it ends up being a good weekend and not just a "recovery" weekend. we need this time together. but i want it to be FUN and not just "OK".

this was such a random post.
i feel like i'm not even making sense so i'm going to stop now.

what a GREAT weekend away-that's-at-home. i think that sounds like the PERFECT thing!! and the pictures with the puppies are adorable - i guess all sawyer needs is balls and puppies! :)

I hope you are having a Good weekend.
However that ends up defining itself.

Enjoy your husband.
Enjoy some quiet.
Enjoy some uninterrupted prayer time.

And I hope you have some powerful prayer.
May it speak to you in great ways.
And may you and Pat enjoy each other immensely.

Grace and peace to you.
