3,500 of those are in orphanages.
only 1 orphanage is currently allowing those children to be adopted.
this orphanage is where our children will come from.
it's called Home of Hope orphanage.
there is a group of 4 women that desire to partner with Rwanda and this orphanage specifically by
"meeting the immediate needs of the Home of Hope orphanage while earnestly engaging both Rwandan and American communities in supporting long-term, lasting change for the vulnerable children of Rwanda."
a tangible way there are doing this is by sending the children shoes.
one of these 4 women adopted a baby boy from this orphanage and came away with the awareness that these kids don't have the shoes they need.
so...they are collecting and sending crocs to the orphanage where our kids are!
we could be sending OUR KIDS shoes to wear!
{and many other precious kids, too!}
so, if you'd like to give me any crocs {used is fine...but in good condition} to send with the ones i'll be sending, get them to me by Oct 18.
OR you can send them directly to "4-More" by October 26 at:

i can't believe there is only ONE orphanage open to adoptions! that's nuts!! i'd love to be a part of this...but i may miss the oct. 18 deadline...i'll let you know
Thanks for posting this!!!!
That's awesome! We have friends who just brought a bunch of crocs to the orphanage their kids are living in Ethiopia. It's such a need!
What amazes me is that there are 1 million orphans but only 3,500 in orphanages. I've noticed this is the case in almost every country. It makes me wonder where the others are? Living on the streets? With Aunts/Uncles? Being raised by their siblings?
And 1 orphanage? Such as sad statistic that is representative of how difficult is to adopt all over the world. Thanks for sharing.
