a good challenge.
love it.
and don't be distracted by his examples...for some "homeschooling" is the craziest, most faith-building thing that God has asked them to do...but for others, it's the safest thing and they might need to trust God a bit more and stop trying to control everything. YOU know. he's just making a point...and a great one at that!
do you need to take your hands off the balance beam a bit?
oh, and if you haven't read his book. you should.

oh courtney - that is GREAT!! you KNOW what I am -definitely on the safe side. David finished reading this book not long ago, and has been taking our choir through it. our Pastor has been preaching about some of this too - I'm going to forward them. you may have our whole pastoral team checking your blog later today! :) Love you!
ordering the book - heard of it before but I tend to be behind in the 'book world' - can't wait~
that was awesome!! thank for sharing!!
So now I know why you want a balance beam.
Crazy was a little easier when we didn't have kids. There's so much more to risk now. I'd like to see that guy on the balance beam holding three (or four, or six)kids.
I feel like he's missing God holding him up though.
Zach and I watched this together. Thanks for posting. It is great to keep asking yourself this question, because it is so easy to want to live "safe." But I find really joy when I am doing what God asks me regardless of whether or not it is hard... and usually it is hard, because it is dying to self. Thanks for posting.
LOL..I got the homeschool comment..But good message.
Thanks for sharing this clip! I'm putting his book on my Christmas list. I want to live a life with my hand up high... I'm not there yet--- but hope to be someday! Thanks for the dose of INSPIRATION!!!!!!!
This was great Courtney! Thanks for the challenge...good to consider where we are being too "safe" and not just trusting in God to follow him...
Ewwwwww, I'm so safe and I don't like it. Scott has been talking about this book. I'm ordering it. Thanks! :)
Ouch. I'm definitely safe. I've had a similar string of terrible things happen in the past few years and I don't think I can handle anything else. That book will be next on my list! Thanks for sharing!
