bailey

she deserves her own post this week.
i didn't anticipate a lot about this week.
one being bailey.
and how all of this would effect her.
she's kind of been a mess...but has handled it all well.

{this is her singing a made-up song to herself on our walk last night}

bailey is so happy.
really.
JOY is what she is.
she's quick to smile and laugh and giggle and greet people.
it's precious and rare and i love it about her.
i pray she's always that way...joyful always...

she always talks to people we pass...whether we're on a walk in our neighborhood, or in the aisle in walmart or...well, those are pretty much the only 2 places we go... :-)

normally she says, "HI!" with that sweet voice of hers and sparkling eyes and a smile on her face.
sometimes she says something embarrassing like, "you don't really look pretty because you're not wearing a skirt."

her newest thing to say is, "Congratulations!"

we're walking by people.
they are walking the other way, minding their own business, and this little {adorable} 4 year old says, "Congratulations!"

the looks and reactions are PRICELESS!
can you imagine??

they are probably thinking, "how does she know?" or "what in the world?" or "can that mom not keep her child under control??"

this is what she has done every day when joshua gets on the bus.
she's fine.
til the bus drives away.

then the tears.
{is it bad i was taking pictures of it?? i waited til the 3rd day!}

but, then, 2 minutes later she's totally fine.
today we went to the library and she "read" me a book.
and she got to pick ALL the books!

if you all could live with bailey for a day your life would feel so much more FUN!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! :-)

sweet! I am sure it's a big change for her. Mason is constantly asking for Owen. Every time we get in the car he thinks maybe we are going to pick him up. well, hopefully you can enjoy her a even more.

She is so fun to read about!

And those tears are possibly the sweetest tears ever.
She and you will be glad you took those pictures!

Okay, I don't know which I laughed louder at...the fact that she says things like, "you don't really look pretty because you're not wearing a skirt" or "congratulations!" or the fact that she says them often enough that you knew them to record them. That girl is Hilarious! She's a joy for us all. :)

I just loved this post. Such a moment in time...
Her funny words shared with strangers, her tears about Joshua going to school, since it will all be over soon and she'll be onto something else, doing and saying different things, I love how you have this captured, recorded. Tears and all. It is priceless. What a beautiful joyful girl.
