we went on a walk.
to have a picnic breakfast on the beach!
normally this would be a great idea.
but it was cold.
and spitting rain.
and super windy.
the ocean was ANGRY!
we've NEVER seen the water like this in the outer banks!
this is as far as we made it. {this was around 7:30 am}
to the walk-over.
the kids were troopers.
{i felt so badly that we didn't bring jackets! it was COLD!}

we went once to the outer banks for a wk for our anniversary (so 1st wk /sept) and it was SO rough that wk too---my sister who is the best swimmer I know, literally almost drowned--it was so scary---maybe its the time of yr??? who knows----anyway, glad ya'll had each other!!! MISS YOu!!!
