shaving cream war!!

we're eating dinner.
i say, "once you take your dishes to the sink, i want you to clean up and go upstairs and put your bathing suit on." {normally i would say put your pj's on...so now they are looking at me like i have lost it!}

i meet them in the backyard with cans of shaving cream and say,
"have fun!"

they weren't sure what to do at first.
til i grabbed one of their cans and sprayed it all over their heads.

then they tentatively started in on each other...

i had to turn the hose on once they started getting it in their eyes.

and they ended up having a BLAST!

pat got home about this point and wasn't sure what was going on :-)

it was a fun idea.
i can't remember where i saw it.
but it kept them busy for awhile :-)

SUPER fun! We heard the squeals and giggles and were wondering what it was all over their bodies. They sure did look like they had a Blast- what an awesome idea!

Oh that's great! It's not just fun that you did it, it's how you did it, with the element of surprise. Our kids like shaving cream too. It's good cheap fun : )

I'm doing that with the kids tomorrow! Think I will make them wear their goggles though to protect the eyes.

Oh what fun. I saw this on another blog I'm obsessed with about a month or so ago. Thought it sounded like a BLAST and vowed to steal that idea when I need it in 10 or so years. SO much fun and makes for AWESOME pictures!
