putting sawyer down for his morning nap...

i didn't know rebekah was taping this. i thought she was taking pictures.
found it today.
i normally sing "jesus loves me" to him {while he puts his fingers up my nose or smacks my face or something "loving" like that} and then set him in his bed.
at one point while i'm singing he will stop and just stare at my eyes.
just stare.
he doesn't do that at any other time of the day {he never stops long enough to do that!}
while he's looking into my eyes i try to "say" with my eyes many things,
"i love you." "you are precious." "i know you're the 4th and chaos is going on around us at this very moment...but i care so much about YOU." "sleep well, my sweet boy...and wake up happy :-)"

he cries for less than 4 seconds when i close the door.
then i have no idea what he does til he falls asleep :-)
