this has turned out to be a neat lesson, so i'm sharing...
{one of those things i thought of WAY too late at night while i was trying to fall asleep...}
we read the verses in 1 Thessalonians on Monday morning:
"Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances..."
we've been focusing on "pray continually"
talked about how we can't really sit with our hands folded and head bowed ALL.DAY.LONG.
but we can talk to God all day.
to try to get them to think about it more often i set a timer and dry erase board on our coffee table.
every little bit (30 minutes or so) i set the timer to go off in a couple minutes.
when the timer goes off, they run from wherever they are to the couch.
and we pray for whoever's name is on the board.
all of us pray.
takes maybe 2 minutes.
today we are praying for baby ryan EVERY TIME.
it's been really neat!

LOVE THIS!!!
WOW! I've got goosebumps.
Oh Courtney, you are amazing! I love the things you do to prepare your children's hearts for Him. This is a legacy that will never leave their thoughts. And the fact that you are all praying for baby Ryan everytime the timer goes off is a lesson in caring. Keep up the great work you are doing as a Mom shepherding her flock.
love it!
Good, good idea.
that is a great idea! Eli and I have been praying for him a lot and Eli feels for him. "Wants him to have the tubes out, because they hurt." He remembers and so I know he is really praying. I will do this with him too, thanks for the idea!
