for baby ryan today...

from a prayer update we received this morning:

Big Day for Ryan - please prayToday has finally arrived...Ryan is scheduled for the Glenn procedure, which is open heart surgery, at 8:30 this morning. The surgery will be a long one – around 4-6 hours. The surgery this morning will basically rewire Ryan’s heart. Also, the plastic surgeon will fix the diaphragm and put his omphalocele (the part of his anatomy currently outside the body) back into his body. Please pray for the doctors this morning, that God guide’s their hands. Pray for Henry and Leighann as they wait for news from the surgeons. Please pray most for Ryan...that he continues to have the strength and endurance to defy all odds. Please pray Ryan’s body responds well to the Glenn – that his lungs and PAs do what they are supposed to do and do it well until the Fontann. We serve a truly mighty and amazing God!
