i'm definitely a "beach" person.
i could sit/lay/play/BE on the beach ALL day!
and we got pretty close to that today!
it was a GREAT day!!!
lots of this...
my exercise today was a nice family bike ride :-)
and a kayak excursion with pat this afternoon!
it was my first time riding one of those.
and it was so fun!!! {once i got out there...i was nervous!}
it was apparently hysterical!
like, really swim...to get the "open water" swimming thing...but we say way too many, um, creatures out there for me...maybe i'll get my nerve up tomorrow!
now we're off to dinner at the other house!
{sorry...not much deep stuff here this week...i'll work on that! it's one of those things about vacation...and i feel it...maybe too much fun and not enough "real"?? i don't know...it's one of those conflicts that i hate}

you take a vacation from the deep stuff and enjoy yourself. you deserve it! sounds like fun, can't wait to beach it up with you in sept.
Great picture of you and Pat! Glad you're having fun! Enjoy it! :)
i'm planning on leaving all the deep stuff home when i go on vacay!! :)
and i'm so glad to hear you like kayaking! paul and i are planning on going this weekend. i'm nervous already, but now i'm encouraged by you!
have a great time.
deep will be waiting when you get home...
Its ok for your mind to take a little vacation too Courtney!
Enjoy!
I'm with Cassie - I left most of it at home and it was still there when I came home and I was more clear headed to tackle it on top of that - it was great.
leave it at home....come back to it refreshed and engergized!
and I LOVE LOVE that last picture of you and Pat - I don't know what it is?
i just caught up on the vacation posts. i'm so jealous and happy for you at the same time. i agree it's ok to take a vacation from the deep stuff. enjoy yourself and your family. love the pics and the play-by-play. looks like a ton of fun.
i LOVE the picture of you and Pat - you look so refreshed and relaxed!!! and bailey's suit is the BEST - i LOVE it!
I'm such a beach girl too... although it's been many years!!! :):)
AND, you my dear, look so perfectly tan and gorgeous!
ps. it's shark week on the discovery channel. so if you do go for an "open swim" remember: poke eyes rip gills and punch the nose :)
I LOVE an ocean kayak and nobody will ever rent one with me...so fun! As for the deep stuff...maybe while on vacation there really is not supposed to be any deep stuff. And that is just fine, don't be hard on yourself. And really, don't let Peyton scare you. Go for that open water swim...I've swam in the ocean every day of vacation each year since I learned to swim and I'm still here. That open ocean distance swimming is hard though. I tried it last year and I was exhausted in no time at all!
It looks like you are having a blast and definitely a beach person.
Plus from the look of the pictures, the ocean and blue sky makes your eyes come to life and sparkle blue!
y'all look like you are having SO MUCH fun! did i already tell you how much this is making we want to be at the beach??? you're killing me! :) SO glad you're having fun and spending such great time with family. there is nothing like the beach to give families a chance for some good quality time together!
