getting ready for vacation.
pat and i handle things very differently.
on the afternoon before we leave for a week:
Courtney: organizes the pictures that are all in the wrong "folders" on her computer {and didn't finish. i never finish this. it's never going to be finished.}
Pat: trims the bushes in the front yard
Courtney: cleans the kitchen, refrigerator, sweeps and mops and then goes on a rampage making EVERYONE clean up EVERY.LITTLE.THING of theirs that is ALL.OVER.THE.HOUSE! things are cleaner than they have been for weeks!
Pat: reconciles bank statements and credit card statements/pays bills/updates the budget
we do things very differently.
but, i'm thankful, because at the end of the day we got a LOT done between the 2 of us!
{car is packed. all 5 bikes on the back. all set to hit the road at 5:30 am tomorrow morning. we celebrated rebekah's birthday tonight: breakfast for dinner and opened her gifts. kids in bed. husband waiting for me on the couch :-). i'm SO done here!}

this is hilarious and it is EXACTLY like scott and me!! i used to get so frustrated when we were first married, but now i am so thankful because we accomplish so much, yet completely different things! have a fun and safe trip!
so true! i always think it's fun to analyze our systems of how we get stuff done. it seems like we never have really discussed it but we just both know what we need to do in order to get everything done. you learn to rely on each other to make your little family work. that's teamwork, right! :) have fun!
