friday

lake anna is about 2 hours from our house.
40 minutes after driving into the driveway at pat's parents lake house...we were here.
in our swimsuits and out on the boat!

rebekah is a brave little thing!
daredevilish, crazy girl!
{i seriously have NO idea where she gets it!}

we tried to convince sawyer he was having fun...stuffed in this lifejacket and not able to move
{he is a GREAT kid as long as he can move...but he did ok this go around}

these 2 were taking it all in...

grandmommy was great at trying to keep sawyer occupied so he didn't think about how uncomfortable he was :-)

we dropped anchor for awhile and swam in the lake.

then headed back.
joshua got in the tube this time.
but he had strict instructions for granddad {who was driving the boat}: NO swerving!

"hey there!"

we got back to the house and headed down to the "pavilion" {the area in their neighborhood that is on the water} and played and grilled dinner and ate down there!

it was such a nice afternoon/evening!
{and everyone slept GREAT after all that!}
ps. yes, sawyer was in a closet :-)

Poor Sawyer, not quite as much fun for him this year!

Sawyer is one fine looking little man these days! He looks simply squeezable in his life jacket with his bare legs and cute feet. Pat's mom is a lucky lady to get a bunch of that boy!!

Looks like a blast. We rented a pontoon once on Lake Anna. It was a blast! Oh, and we always put our babies in the closets on vacation - glad to know we're not the only ones! :-)

Awesome sunset photo! And where else would Sawyer sleep on a vacation?

That last picture is beautiful!

I think Sawyer and McKenna are in agreement on the lifejacket issue. She hates hers, but thankfully we were never in a situation where she HAD to wear it, but it sure would have made the summer easier for me.
