words

i love words.
i am always reading {well, when i have a minute :-)}
i have at LEAST 3 books i'm reading at a time.
books on my coffee table, kitchen island, bedside table, purse.
you know, just in case i'm left alone for 2 minutes and can't figure out anything else to do!

i love reading words.
especially ones written ESPECIALLY to me!

when i got back on saturday from the farm with the kids, this was taped to the window above the sink.
this is my FAVORITE card.
pat's cards are always the same.
made with a sheet of printer paper.
folded in half.
and then, using a ballpoint pen, he writes his heart.
makes me cry every time.

and can you see that touch of red in the background??
those are flowers that he went out and bought to hang outside of the window.
{and remember...it wasn't easy for him to be "up and about" that day...so it means a LOT!}
he knows how much i will enjoy looking at them whenever i'm at the sink {which is often :-)}

then...i got the mail and had a REAL LIFE card with REAL LIFE words written by a REAL LIFE friend that lives way too far away from me.
but i loved it.
i've read it at least 3 times.
and it's also now sitting on the windowsill above my kitchen sink.
{and she sent some seeds for us to plant! fun!}
