this is going to be all over the place...that's just what this week has been like...so either hang on...or quit right here :-)
**the kids have been going to VBS every night this week. bailey has had a hard time with me leaving her. but they've all loved it. it's 1/2 mile from our house...i love that. and then it's been sawyer and i {and pat once he gets home!} for the evening. very different!
**on monday night, the 3 of us went for a bike ride. i've never pulled sawyer in the trailer on a REAL bike ride. 12 miles feels a lot harder pulling a trailer with a chubby baby in it :-) but it was a fun memory that i don't think we'll forget!
**i love that the soundtrack to our week this week has been the kids CD from VBS..."i will praise you with all of my heart" "you alone i long to worship" "i will not be afraid" "i get down...He lifts me up!"
**i had lots of plans for my "free" evenings...but plans got changed and we ended up doing a lot of other "chore" type stuff. not fun. but necessary. oh well. my list will always be there...
**we're gearing up for a week at the beach with my WHOLE extended family on my mom's side!
**sawyer threw his first "fit" yesterday! i almost laughed. it's been awhile since i've dealt with a fit...i've had MANY days where they happen many times a day...but not lately! we were at a playground...he was LOVING it! i give the other kids the, "3 minutes til we leave" warning. so they leave without an issue. but then i picked sawyer up to head to the car and he flipped out! screaming...kicking...i laughed inside. but just ignored it and he had calmed down by the time we even got to the car. man...i guess we're heading into a new stage...
**i had a goal for myself for this summer...to teach myself how to breathe on both sides when i'm swimming. i used to only breathe on 1 side. it's like teaching yourself to write with your other hand. well, yesterday morning i swam for an hour and breathed on BOTH sides the whole time! i've been working on it each time i swim. but i'm swimming maybe once a week (i froze my membership at the gym for the summer...so i just swim when i can at our neighborhood pool...sometimes even just for 10 minutes during "break" while the kids eat a snack on the chair RIGHT by the lap lane). i LOVE accomplishing goals! this is a small goal that is going to get me to my bigger goal of doing an "olympic" length triathlon...one day...
**rebekah all of a sudden is looking SO grown up and mature to me...STOP!
off to the pool with friends!!!

i love it. all of it!!! my kids are STILL singing their VBS songs from the 3rd week in JUNE - even CALLIE knows them all. There's nothing better than hearing your kids sing SCRIPTURE over and over!
are they doing Croc Rocks or something like that for VBS??? those are the same exact songs on Lydia and Samantha's cd!
yes! crocodile dock!
my kids learned how to make guns with their hands at VBS. good times :)
i'm remembering to write the silhouette blog for you- doing it now...
