our 4th

just to be "real"...i didn't have the best run this morning.
not sure if it was ALL the food i ate last night {or the margarita...}
or i was just tired from a long week.
or what.
i headed out to do 10 miles.
i did 7 and quit.
i never do that {but i did run those 7 faster than i've ever run 7 before...about 30 seconds a mile faster! so that is good}
but, i often talk about my "great" runs or races...and i have bad ones too.

that was discouraging.
but i quickly left that behind and we started getting ready for our day!

it was kind of a long morning trying to keep the kids entertained until our guests arrived!

but they still looked cute while they were waiting :-)

the young's came over for the day.
it was SO nice.
relaxing, fun, yummy...pretty perfect!


we walked to a playground after naptime...



and they headed out right before dinner.

got our crew ready for bed...did a few sparklers and those "pop" things...and tucked them in bed.
i haven't heard a PEEP!


bailey found something that just might sparkle more than her eyes...i still think her eyes sparkle more :-)

and now we're packing up to head out of town after church tomorrow for a couple days!
just the 6 of us!
