idlewild...day #2

don't worry...i won't go into as many details about this day :-)

first of all, the hotel we stayed at was AWESOME!
{Hampton Inn in Blairsville, PA...for anyone that is taking notes...}
less than a year old.
included a HOT breakfast.
and we bought a package through them that included our tickets to the park!
let me tell you...it was a DEAL!

after we ate breakfast and loaded up the car and checked out, we headed back to the park.

you get 1/2 price "second day" tickets...

we just took our time and let the kids tell us what they wanted to do.
it was SO nice having the second day because we weren't stressed the first day to GET IT ALL IN!
but we actually ended up doing almost everything...so we repeated the favorites!

this little boy LOVES balls!!!

see bailey up there in that thing??
{hannah...maybe you can relate?? :-)}

oh, and we found a while little section we had missed the first day!
zipline...

joshua and rebekah beat pat and bailey by a hair...

"hey, YOU! i love you!"

rebekah REALLY wanted to ride this.
so i went on it with her.
and paid for it the rest of the day!
my stomach was never the same...
but she loved it so it was worth it.

bailey and i taking a picture of each other
{oh yeah, and the hotel gave us 2 disposable cameras too! the kids had a blast with those!}

this was joshua's favorite!

i just can't say enough about this park.
how much we loved it.
i really have no desire to do "disney" {go ahead...tell me i'm depriving my kids...}
i've just heard so many people say how crazy it is...the lines...the weather...the MONEY!

i thought this park was PERFECT.
i'd take this vacation over disney ANY DAY.
maybe, when my kids are older, i'll feel differently...

i just loved the simple fun at this park.
yes, it is old.
but it was CLEAN. and kept up.
and SO manageable for a family with young children.

we headed out around 3 pm.

it could not have been a better vacation for our little family.

Looks like a blast. Kind of reminds me of our amusement park in Iowa.
We did Disney 3 years ago (only 2 kids) and had the perfect experience. PERFECT.
But, I think we totally lucked out.
I'm terrified to go back because I know it wont be the same. It just couldnt be.

Oh Courtney ~ what a WONDERFUL time you had! It really does look perfect for your kids' ages. I love all the smiles I see on everyone's faces ~ you and Pat as well. :) You were in Christy's "back yard". Pretty neat!

Looks like you guys DID have a great time, so happy for you ALL.

Cracking UP at Sawyer sleeping in the closet.

Question for you... are there rides and stuff for older kids (11 and 9) or is mainly geared to the younger kids? I think Sam would have fun no matter what but wouldn't want Anna to get bored though she would probably love the water park part.

jennifer - i think the "racoon lagoon" section is the only one that kids UNDER 56" can't ride. everything else all the kids can ride (if they are over 36" i think). so there's PLENTY to do for older kids too! :-)
