sawyer's {almost} 11 months, tons of pictures, and random thoughts...

this will be long.
and lots of pics.
let me know if you make it all the way through :-)

bailey's night with daddy the other night.
i heard at swim team the next afternoon that they ran into some neighbors on their walk.
bailey said, "i'm on a date with my daddy!"
the neighbors thought it was the cutest thing ever.

sawyer is almost 11 months old {on monday}.
he is back in a "good phase" these days.
and i'm SO thankful.
he still has his moments.
but he will sit in the stroller for 2 hours at a time {as long as he has a snack or a ball} and be very content and happy.
{i LOVE this outfit! it was joshua's...and it's one of my FAVORITES!!!}

he has SO much personality!
very easy-going...but also TONS of smiles and laughter and silliness.
he "talks" a LOT...and crawls FAST!

and those eyes.
oh, those eyes.

i was seriously considering training for an olympic triathlon.
LONGER distances than the sprint i just did.
and i think i JUST got a clear answer....NO.
i'm sad.
i wanted to do it.
but i was struggling...is this wise for my family??
it would mean training.
i don't really have to train for a sprint triathlon...but i would have to add for an olympic.
selfishly...i'm sad...but hopefully one day...
i need to obey what i'm hearing from Him.
and typing that out just now was HARD but helped my heart some...
obedience is NOT FUN sometimes...ugh.

trying to get pictures of him was really hard.
he just isn't still!
but then he found this...
i LOVE watching him study something.
with those chubby, adorable little fingers.

and the drool...always the drool...
and the curls...i'm really close to cutting those off...

i just LOVE this picture.
not sure what it is...

he is very ticklish on his feet :-)

he is down to 2 feedings...first thing in the morning and right after his afternoon nap.
he still has 6 teeth...but 2 more are about to pop through...i can feel them.
he sleeps great.
eats great.
LOVES the pool!

i'm thankful that he still hasn't figured out how to climb the stairs.
i know i'm on borrowed time with that...

oh, that yumminess!!!

my baby is 11 months old.
wow.
and, this morning at "boot camp"...when i was jumping rope for 10 minutes (!) i could STILL feel the effects of carrying him SO LOW for SO LONG...wow.

we had such a nice day yesterday.
our original plans got cancelled (we were so sad to miss seeing grandmommy!!)
but once we switched gears...it was a wonderful "free" day!

i need to "schedule" free days in more often.
days to just BE and not DO!

when they said, "can i paint my nails?" or "can we play a game?"
i could say, "YES!"

tomorrow is rebekah's last day of school.
we are excited for summer.
i've been preparing for weeks {literally}.
some fun stuff in the next few days...

but i'm anxious too.
i'm a very "routine" person...and i'm nervous about my routine changing.
i want to use our time wisely...and not waste our days...
but also have fun and enjoy some slower days...
i know it will be fine.
it's just the anticipation of the change.

went to rebekah's end of the year party this morning.
sawyer was a HIT! :-)

rebekah's teacher said such nice things about her...
"she's so kind."
"she is just such a sweet soul."
did my heart good...rebekah has had a GREAT year in 2nd grade!

ok...now i'm a mess after all that...better go get myself together before i have to go pick her up!

looking forward to seeing what you have planned for your family for the summer! you are so creative and do such fun things!! aren't you sooooo glad to NOT be pregnant this summer! i thank God for it at just about every hour of my day. i think my girls do too. yesterday holly said to me, "you would never let us do this last summer. last summer you would have made us come inside when it was so hot." so last summer must have been awful for them too. :( so here is to a great summer this summer!! :)
