If I Had to Live My Life Over

“… I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. I would have talked less and listened more. I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded. I would have eaten the popcorn in the ‘good’ living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. … I would have sat on the lawn with my kids, even if it meant grass stains.”

-excerpt from one of Erma Bombeck's columns...when she discovered she was dying from cancer...it was titled "If I Had to Live My Life Over"

this is such a strong beat of my heart...be intentional...it's how you live...if i had to live my life over...and it's always a good reminder....

i love the part about using the pretty candle before it melts. i'm so all about that. what's the point in SAVING something...if you never get around to using it!!! Good reminders for us!
