girls weekend away??

it SEEMS like i had a girls' weekend away!
but it was really just a day!

10 am...we all meet in front of Veronica's house...7 of us from our running group...
{pat's mom watched my 3 kiddos that were at home - THANKS!!!}

we ride 10 miles to the town of Leesburg...on a GREAT bike trail...we chatted and laughed and enjoyed the ride...
{YES...i took this picture while riding my bike :-) come ON...i'm a dedicated blogger!}

we shopped at a few stores...

then 2 of the other running ladies met us there {they couldn't get childcare for the whole day...}

ate lunch outside at a yummy pizza place!

then rode the 10 miles back and literally RAN up to the school to pick Rebekah up!
it was SO fun!
i think we're going to try to do it again in the fall...and next spring?!?
i love how when you get a group of ladies together like this...there are about 3 conversations going on at all times...and you can be a part of each of them...it's hysterical...remember "Barn House??"...and to see a guys' face when they witness it...they are so lost...does anyone else get what i'm talking about???

ANYways...i really feel like i got away for a weekend.
it's amazing what a few hours can do!
my legs are TIRED {we also ran this morning!}
but i have a little skip in my step that i don't normally have at this time in the evening.
