it could have been better.

but it also could have been worse.
*maybe* hoping for a do-over in a few weeks?
just some time to myself when i feel WELL would be nice.
we'll see.
i still need to get well.

i'm so blessed.
but also so sick of being sick.

spent the evening at the baseball field watching joshua's t-ball practice.
it was cute.
i didn't get a picture of pat helping coach.
and i don't have a single picture of me today.
oh well.

here's rebekah and bailey - it was nice that there was a playground there.

at least this year's birthday set the bar real low going forward!
it won't be hard to beat it next year!

i am feeling a tad better. and my fever is finally gone.
hoping for lots of improvement after a night of sleep.
{and then i'm forcing myself NOT to run tomorrow even if i feel a lot better...}

and, in the back of my heart is the TRUE meaning of today.
not my silly birthday. or even this small virus i have.
but the day that our SAVIOR DIED on a CROSS for MY (and YOUR) sins.
that's big. huge.
i'm so thankful for His grace and goodness and mercy.
and that i can take all the sins (bitterness, frustration, anger, impatience) that i've committed even today to that cross and leave them there. He takes them. and loves me.

actually, i didn't need any other birthday present than taking in the magnitude of THAT right now.
