WARNING: grandmas and others who don't like babies crying shouldn't read this...
sawyer is finally feeling better.
yay!
but, now we are dealing with the "after effects" of him being sick for a week.
it was a lot easier to tolerate his crying when i knew he felt awful.
now he's just crying because he's gotten used to being held a LOT.
joshua and bailey have added this into their prayers,
"i pray that sawyer would stop crying so much."
i feel bad for them.
{he gets a blotchy face like me...}
so this morning i put him in the walker.
he was safe {and contained}.
and joshua and bailey each got to pick a game for the 3 of us to play.
sawyer cried the entire time.
i don't enjoy this "weaning" phase.
but it's got to be done.
we're all going insane.
thankfully, he is sleeping GREAT these days, so we all have a couple breaks during the day!
{i know, i DO have a heart...those tears KILL me...but i also know this has to be done!}

so sad. :)
This is a very tough phase but you are definitely doing the right thing. I will pray for continued strength for you and the other kiddos and that Sawyer will "get it" quickly!! You are so sweet to warn us Grammy's but I think most of us would stand behind you and encourage you. You're amazing Courtney!
Poor thing. It's a tough life to be a baby!
it's pitiful, isn't it? I think the getting over sickness or getting back from vacation is the worst! callie's having a hard time with naptime today - she's so excited to be back in her room and it's taking lots of effort from me to get her to stay in her bed. sigh.. the price we pay! :)
I know all about those tears, but sometimes you just have to have a little space without someone constantly being attached to you! Since McKenna's basically been sick her whole life, we have terrible attachment issues! I'm no stranger to tears. You're doing a great job!
He'll survive! Good for you for putting the other kids first for awhile.
(still, poor Sawyer!)
