first family bike ride...EVER!

i haven't had a bike.
since i was a kid.

yes, i did a sprint triathlon a couple years ago.
i borrowed a neighbor's bike...and rode it 3 times before the race.

pat gave me an early birthday present.
A BIKE!
i'm so excited!!!
for years, pat's gone off with the kids on bike rides.
and i'm at home either pregnant or with "the baby".
now we can all go!
i got a trailer off craig's list...score!

today was our first family bike ride.

sawyer and bailey get to ride in the trailer :-)

aren't i good with my helmet ;-)
i got a hybrid bike - not a mountain bike and not a road bike - somewhere in between.
it'll be good for riding with the fam...AND triathlons!

**i want the trailer attached to my bike - so it's easy to go on bike rides during the week, too!
and it's WAY easier to pull it with my bike than with his mountain bike, i think!

your bike looks awesome! i told david that it's a dream i have - to be able to go riding with the whole family. Except how come you have the HARD job in pulling the trailer with the kids while Pat just hangs out and rides?!?!?

You'll love the trailer!

and plus with the trailer on your bike, you can get all kinds of comments from men about your lazy husband kicking back while you do all the work :)

we fight over the trailer. the one with the trailer gets the better work out. (we have two attachments- they are like $17 each, and we usually trade at the half way point- to be fair:)

how fun!
enjoy!
and yes, always wear your helmet. because the one time you forget it, you'll hear from your 5 year-old just how important it is and how dangerous you are being and how worried he is about you :)

have a blast!!!

Yes! You are good with your helmet! How fun is your family bike ride!?
I wondered the same thing about you pulling the kids ;-) I figured though, you were a woman who likes her workout!

how cool is that! You are such a rock star, we were just talking about how cool it would be to have bikes... it is annoying being in a flat and have no where to put them. One day! :)
