we are emerging!!!

good GRIEF! that was AWFUL!
but it's over.
bailey ended up getting it too.
{she kills me...anyone else? that FACE!}

ok. back to how we are.
sawyer and i didn't get it. and we won't.
the amount of laundry. and paper towels {eco-friendly washcloth use NOT happening during stomach virus}. and bottles of Resolve and 409 and Lysol {if you drive by and get knocked over by the fumes...sorry...again NOT eco-friendly but desperate times call for desperate measures!}.
the number of baths...ridiculous.
BUT. this was our first bout of the stomach virus that the kids could actually get to the bathroom sometimes...that was nice!

and pat felt so awful yesterday morning that he ended up staying home for the day.
at naptime i went out to run a few errands {pat said, "GO! get OUT!" tell you anything about my mood??}
it was so nice! weird to say when my whole house was at home sick.
but it was good for me.
and i came home READY to...clean more carpets and sheets and...

i just need to describe how these kids were when they were sick...all so different:
rebekah: just laid on the couch. she was definitely the sickest of them all. yet she still asked for dinner when it was "dinner time". she couldn't handle that the routine of her day was different. {she DIDN'T get any dinner.}

joshua: also laid on the couch. wouldn't speak. at. all. if i would ask him a question, he'd maybe shake his head. basically looked like he was pretending to be dead.

bailey: she is a riot. even when she's sick. we had no idea she was sick til rebekah said, "bailey, what's that on your face?" oh. i threw up. RIGHT. maybe you could have told us that before you just ate half of your lunch!!! the rest of the day, as she was getting up to go "get sick", she'd walk by me and say, "mom, can you come help me?" i'd go with her. she'd do her business. wash her hands and HOP/SKIP/JUMP back to the couch. a riot that one. {and she loses weight SO fast. you can see it in her face and body within hours. crazy.}

sorry for all the info.
it's just too funny, some of it.

so. now we are better.
pat's at work.
rebekah's at school.
it's nice out.
windows open.
washer and dryer going NON STOP cleaning all the bathroom rugs and towels...anything that CAN go in the washer IS going in the washer.

we went on a walk before lunch.
joshua started out pulling bailey while she read books.
{he's so sweet. "mom, i hope bailey feels better today."}

she came alive once she got going on that swing!

{THANKS for your prayers!!! they are keeping sawyer and i healthy!!!}

joshua didn't need the playground equipment.

and then, bailey running while pulling joshua.
yep. she's better.

we're ready SPRING!!!

YEAH!!, It's good that your house is coming through that mess, just in time to enjoy the nice weather (even if it's only for a brief while).

oh my word Courtney. I had to come and check in to see how everyone was before I started my packing. I am SO thankful that everyone is on the mend now - PTL!!! I have to tell you that I LOVED your post from yesterday about praying with each of the older two on the couch. How weird that it was good just to be a mom (even when it's for a bad circumstance like throw-up!) Great perspective. And I LOVED hearing how different each of the 3 are even when sick. amazing. So glad God sent nice weather just for your sweet family to get out and get some fresh air in you!!! Keep washing your hands though!

Courtney, glad you guys are better! Jozy is at work with me today and saw the pictures of Bailey, and said "She's cute, she's invited to my birthday" then I told her that you guys live where her Nana and Grandpa lives....Jozy said..."um, nevermind!"
