just finished this book.
it was good in a hard way.
kept me awake some nights.
tossing and turning.
i hear there is a movie of it.
i hope to see it soon.
it's a memoir of one of the Lost Boys of Sudan.
and this is not something that happened decades ago.
he (John Bul Dau) just came to the US as a refugee from Africa in 2001...right before Sept 11.
this is a quote from his introduction:
"They call me a Lost Boy, but let me assure you, God has found me."
prepare to be changed and have your eyes opened if you read it.
it will break your heart.
but you will also SEE how God cares for the least of these.

hope you're hanging in there this week. been thinking of you.
my friend is working on child soldier stuff in congo. just on his way back right now from being held hostage for 6 days- illegally-wild cat, that kid. love his stories.
he's going to write for village change- falling whistles.
peace to you-
(p.s. nice work coming home, pat.)
THANK you for the recommendation!! Love knowing about books like this...the movie's been on my Netflix list but kinda at the bottom...perhaps I should slide it up!?? :)
