what did you do??

if you asked me what we did this weekend, i wouldn't have much to say.
we didn't GO somewhere exciting.
we didn't ACCOMPLISH a big project.
not much to show for it.

but this is what we did do:
*played games
*had "parties"
*built lego's
*drank hot chocolate
*went on a bike ride {a lot of these things are things pat did with the older 3 while sawyer and i hung out and folded laundry or something fun like that...}
*cleaned all the bathrooms...including pat really cleaning the bathtub,and i mean sparkling clean {i know. i'm really lucky to have him}
*replaced light bulbs {you know, the ones outside that every time you pull up you think, "man, we STILL need to replace those}
*lit a candle for dinner
*did laundry
*read books
*talked - really talked
*cleaned out all their dresser drawers
*made all sawyer's baby food for the week {why didn't i make baby food with my other kids?? it's so easy and cheap!}
*opened and finished our bottle of sparkling cider leftover from new year's eve {the kids loved saying "cheers!" to each other at dinner...hamburgers, french fries and sparkling cider}
*i painted...and sewed...and blogged during naptimes
*pat read a book he's been wanting to get to for a long time
*i ran 9 miles {but i'm trying not to think about that one. it's amazing how much a "bad" run can get me down...i'm trying to let it go}
*caught up on email!
*let the kids take a lONG bubble bath
*raced cars
*played soccer in the basement

and now they are all in bed. quiet.
pat and i have talked through our week.
it has the potential for being crazy, but knowing it ahead of time helps me some.

10 minutes until 24 comes on!

ok, lady, if you don't feel accomplished after that weekend, you need help! :) You got a lot of stuff done even if you don't feel like it.

i told david about how you are so thrilled about making sawyer's baby food. he said "didn't you tell her about it 6 years ago?" I've always loved doing it - it doesn't take much, is SO SO much cheaper and better!! Good job!
