sweet kids

i think i have a new favorite part about valentines day.
even though it's not my favorite holiday.
it is nice that people don't really call or expect you to do other stuff.
we had a nice, low-key day.
i ran. pat had football.
but, other than that, we were home and just together.

played outside. basketball. bikes.
painted the girls nails.
serious business.

joshua painted rebekah's.
i couldn't decide which picture i liked better.
this one shows HER face.

and this one shows HIS face.
sweet?
i know. SO sweet.

i made dinner that included 2 sides (which is gourmet for us. normally we are doing good to have just 1 side. never 2!)
took the kids to get ice cream (thanks grandma and papa!)
sawyer took his first bath sitting up.
exciting stuff, huh? :-)

pat and i rented Fireproof which we watched after one of those good conversations that you can't make happen, but they just do and you're so FULL afterwards.
we had low expectations of the movie.
but we LOVED it. seriously.

it was a great day.

you watched fireproof, not to be obnoxious, I don't know if there is a movie called firestorm but just in case there is and it is scandalous I am correcting you. sounds like a fun day! joshua is so so sweet, love that little guy.

Yay for fun family, stay at home holidays. And we watched Fireproof the other week and thought it was great. Chris couldn't believe that it had been in theaters. There were a few cheesy bits, but nothing too bad. And the humour at the firehouse was a good extra to the rest of the plot. Anyway, sounds like you had a good day!

Sounds like fun, funny we watched it too LAST NIGHT, and Michael had low expectaions, I really wanted to see it and we both really liked it. Pretty good for a low budget movie.

i'm surprised that you had the major conversation BEFORE the movie - is usually comes AFTER that movie! love the two older ones painting nails - how precious is that. joshua is probably going to be embarrassed when he's 16 about those pictures! :)
