watching a baby play with anything...it never gets old.
i could just sit like this for hours (if my other 3 kids, or my knees would let me!)
in this pictures he's playing with a ziploc bag.
(i know, not an ideal toy, but he loves the sound, and i was OBVIOUSLY watching him!)
p.s. The Fish
we got it when rebekah turned 5 (!)
she is now 7 1/2 years old.
we actually got 2 fish.
one died a few months later.
i thought (hoped) the other would follow close behind.
i was SURE it would die when we moved.
we don't feed it when we go away...for a week!
it STILL lives.
and the tank was so dirty this morning, i had a hard time finding the thing in the murky water to get it out while i was cleaning it.
i don't know what the deal is.
i tried to convince rebekah it would be happier if we let it go in the pond in our neighborhood - so it could have some friends.
she didn't agree.
oh, and it lives in her room. on a shelf. and i never look at it (or feed it - pat feeds it when he remembers.)
aren't i awful??
sorry, that's a very ugly side of me you just saw.

we had a gold fish that lived for 7.5 years when i was a kid!! i have no idea what their life expectancy is but i am pretty sure that he far exceeded that! he made it through two moves too and outlived two guinea pigs! good luck. i still remember him though and he is buried next to our dogs in my parents yard. what can i say...i am an animal lover...i guess of all animal. but not yucky ones like spiders or mice etc. :)

I love that outfit on Sawyer, and I especially love his feet in that outfit. I mean does life get much cuter than that?
ok 1) Love this picture. LOVE. and 2) Your attitude about the fish is one of my new favorite things about you. Not remotely ugly.

i seriously can't believe that fish is still alive. so gross. i LOVE the picture of you watching sawyer. those are the BEST moments. it won't be forever that he'll be entertained with ziploc bags after all!
