friday afternoon.
"guys. let's walk to the creek! put on play clothes and your crocs."
rebekah and joshua on their scooters.
bailey on her bike.
sawyer and my camera in the stroller.
we're on our way.
as we're walking i tell them,
"since you have your crocs on, don't worry about getting dirty."
they give me weird looks. :-)
here, rebekah, hold this stick and i'll pull you up.
{it didn't work}
he sat so nicely on this blanket.
for a little while.
they found treasures.
ran through the woods.
made a boat.
when rebekah fell in the creek.
i laughed. and say "whoo-whoo!"
they looked at me like i was CRAZY.
that was fun. :-)
he didn't actually walk across this.
but he thought about it.
see sawyer way back there??
we went pretty far back in the woods.
but i could always see him.
bailey was pretty brave.
climbing rocks to get across the creek.
he figured out how to reach the leaves and dirt.
boys will be boys.
their shoes got real dirty.
their pants were dirty.
their coats were dirty.
this is the pile just from the 2 hour trip to the creek.
but it was so worth it!

Sounds SO fun!!!!
Such a good mama! I LOVE the one with Sawyer eating a leaf! :)
I want to go to the creek! Maybe in more springlike weather? LOL! Absolutely LOVE the photo of Sawyer with leaf in mouth. I can tell he is baby number four. My new moms would die if they saw that photo!
That's so inspiring. I love the idea of letting them get dirty without worrying about it.
those are the BEST kinds of afternoons i think!
