to one of bailey's pah-ties (parties).
(i was describing these to my sister last night and she said i HAD to blog about it...)
we have at least one every day.
we start planning WHEN it's going to be right after breakfast.
every party starts with some music blaring and bailey dancing like a crazy person around her room.
running around in circles and getting "busy" (dizzy) is required.
i join her if i can.
often i am sitting and nursing sawyer.
which is also "appropriate" party behavior, according to bailey (she calls the shots)
there are 3 songs.
every time.
she knows the numbers on the cd that she wants.
and operates the cd player herself.
sometimes, we'll be in the car later in the day and all of a sudden bailey will yell,
"oh no!"
i get alarmed.
"what happened, bailey?" thinking she spilled something or sawyer is spitting up or something TRULY alarming.
and she'll say, "we forgot to do my party!"
i think it REALLY is the best part of her day.
so i try to give her that 15 minutes at some point (i'm ashamed at how hard it is to squeeze it in some days...)
oh, and the door must always be closed.
once the 3 songs are over, we move on to "bah-bies" (Barbie's).
we takes them all out (we have just a few) and all the clothes and shoes.
then we dress the bah-bies for a dress party.
ESPECIALLY the shoes.
they MUST all have shoes.
after they are dressed, we put them all back in the pink box they go in and put the pink box away.
and the pah-ty is over.
i don't KNOW why the bah-bies never get to go to their dress party.
it's kind of sad.
but it's bailey's party and that's the way she does it. :-)
join us anytime!

Tell Bailey I want to come! Let me know the day and time because I want to dance and party with you all!
that's hilarious. sounds like she may be the event coordinator one day!
We are so familiar with that very same scene (with a few minor adjustments) around here. These are the days! Aren't little girls super fun!? Your pictures are amazing!
So fun! I know who to call if I need a DJ.
Sounds like a blast!!!
