what an adventure!!!

oh, the excitement this morning!
who is it going to be??

we show up at robek's (complying with the "rules") promptly at 10 am.
wander around...
do we go in or just wait outside??
we finally go in and ask the guy, "do you maybe have something for us?"
"yes!"

an envelope to open at 10:20 am.
and smoothies for us all to eat!

opening the envelope...
directions to ??
back in the car.

we end up at a indoor water park (pool and slides).
and, the Goetz family is there to meet us!!!
with huge smiles and lots of stories about all the fun leading up to the big reveal.
we enjoyed a couple hours playing together.

2 of our kids.
maybe bailey and maggie??
not sure.

our two families.
we love this family.
i love bridget.
pat enjoys jason a lot.
the kids TOTALLY love playing together.
(a number of times after church on sunday morning, the 4 of us are there talking and all our kids are running around like maniacs and someone will inevitably ask, "are these ALL your kids?" "yes, between our 2 families, they are ALL ours!")
and, as families, we have a blast.
it's not common to find a family that EVERYONE likes EVERYONE!
the Goetz have 5 kids (and another due ANY DAY!)
they have WAY more energy and fun than we do.
but they still seem to enjoy spending time with us :-)
we have mastered how to have deep conversations with a couple kids hanging off each of us...and wiping a nose or a bottom at the same time.
and we never have enough time to really talk and spend time with them.
we are blessed to call them friends.
thanks for such a fun time, Bridget and Jason!!!
you rock!

oh, and we came home to this in our front yard! :-)
(they are HUGE Steelers fans!)

WOW~ the suspense was killing us!!! What fun you all had. :) What a "bunch" you all were. I'm sure you make heads turn. That was Sawyer's first time swimming right? (of course, he spent many a day in your tummy last summer in the pool!) Love you all. Mom

So what I love most about these photos is that there is a picture of Bridget opening the door for the kids at the pool. She is in a bathing suit. AND NOBODY WOULD HAVE ANY IDEA FROM THAT PHOTO THAT SHE IS ABOUT TO POP WITH BABY NUMBER FIVE!!! You can't even tell she is pregnant! Go Bridget!!!

So fun, especially since we know you all IRL (in real life).

Funny story about Goetz's and us... we camp with them every Memorial Day (going on 5 years) and 2 or 3 trips ago,we were all out for a hike (they had 4 kids and we had our 4). We were stopped at a wide point in the trail to give the little legs a break and two young couples hiked by and asked us.... wait for it...

"Are you guys a daycare?" We FELL OVER laughing so hard. "Why yes, we are, 24/7." They still looked confused so we added, "they are all ours." They walked away quickly but laughing too, dont' think they wanted to 'catch it.'

Can you imagine what they would think now? We will have 10 kids btw us this spring, though obviously they are the only ones adding to their numbers!

BTW, have you figured out a way to scrapbook your blog? email me.... jennifer at wgustavus dot com

I'm trying to get the nerve up to start a blog jsut for tracking our memories but if I can't print it out I'm not sure I want to risk the time. I already struggle with spending too much time on the 'puter anyway! Self-control, I need more self-control!

Blessings, Jennifer

Ok, Megan. I thought the same thing about Bridget in her suit - and it's her sixth!!
And, Courtney, of course B told me b/c she was so excited and had to tell someone, so as much as I wanted to comment on all your posts re: this, i was so afraid you would see right through me. I'm glad you had a great time!!
