water for Christmas total!!!

taken straight from jody's blog:

a couple of us on the WFC team each donated $28 dollars last night so we could have an even total of–
$59,000
It costs –
$2,000 to repair a non-working, existing well.
$5,000 to drill a new well for a village
$20,000 to equip a hospital with clean water
And with the most common donation being $10, we are sending $59,000 dollars of clean water to Liberia this year. It will likely do a combination of hospital, village wells and water system repairs. And thousands, thousands of people will have access to life saving, life changing clean water. They will know that people in America are refusing to look the other way, that we are no longer making excuses, that we do see–and we care–and we bought water.
water is life. it changes everything.
it changed us. how we needed this to free us from ourselves.
and it was so good. and so right. and such joy.
thank you. thank you for being a part of the team. for doing something. for making a difference. for changing the world.
this, my friends, is how it happens.
and it’s a big deal.
thank you.
