this is the house i lived in during college.
we called it the barn house, because, well, it looks like a barn. (stole your pic, christy!)
i lived there my junior year.
we did some really crazy stuff.
like dress up for parties. and just to go to the grocery store.
we had prank wars and stayed up way too late and had chore charts.
i made my wedding veil in this living room.
i got married in between my junior and senior year.
and becca and ali moved in to take mine and another girl's "spot."
the eight of us (minus the first one on the left with the white shirt) have kept in touch through the years.
we've gotten married, had babies, moved, gone to grad school, gone through tough times, gone through fun times...but all together.
(i had to throw this one in. found it as i was looking for these pictures. this is pat doing his very convincing impression of Tommy Boy. i hope you don't kill me for this...)
we have gotten together many times - just 3 of us, or 4 of us.
only ONE other time have all 8 of us been together since college.
and that was a little over 2 years ago.
kathy was a few weeks away (we thought) from having a baby and we went to her town.
she ended up HAVING Abby that weekend.
we were all together for about 10 minutes at the hospital and got this picture.

i am leaving tomorrow afternoon for austin, tx.
all 8 of us are getting together! i'll be there until monday night.
i am so excited.
there will be 4 babies there (including sawyer) that have been born in the last year.
and michelle is very pregnant.
pat was saying last night, "you guys really shouldn't stay up late talking. you'll be together ALL DAY."
he doesn't understand that we don't talk about the REAL stuff til after 10 pm.
i don't know why.
it's just the way it happens.
we will laugh.
we will EAT.
we will cry.
we will share. and grow closer.
we will love.
i'm so thankful for these girls.
i can't WAIT to see you!!!
(back to doing laundry, making meals, packing and hugging my other 3 kids...)

OK, some of those pictures are not to be believed. truly. yipes. i think we've all gotten better with age. i CANNOT wait! and also, this makes me want to go home tonight and dig out the craziest Barn pictures i can find for my post!

Oh, how fun!! Know you guys will have a blast! Makes me want to schedule a reunion with my Crack Shack girls immediately! :) And that picture of Pat brought back FUN memories! Too funny :)

woooohoooo!!! its finally here!!! you are leaving TOMORROW!...and wow, yeah so we were pretty much children in college huh?? i felt like i was SOOOO grown up! ha!!! yes, very rare, and i'm so very thankful... :)love you!
Gracious...I'm glad you threw in that last picture of us at Abby's birth so that folks know we DO know how to dress normal! :) Can't wait for you all to get here!!
PS - Mike thinks we should get "dressed up" and go to HEB (our grocery store) this weekend for old times' sake! ;) Not sure if we'll be able to replicate the old days without being able to raid the boxes of tacky clothes that we kept in Kate's closet!
