before you give me LOTS of credit

this is NOT a "real" detox.
i'm JUST cutting out junk food - not fruit and veggies.
what the heck would i eat? there's nothing left ;-)
i was almost completely living off of junk food (and a piece of fruit here and there...)
it was bad.
i'm just cutting out junk food - candy, sweets, PEPPERMINT MILKSHAKES, cookies - to eat a little healthier and to prove i just might have a LITTLE bit of self-control.
mentally - it feels good.
physically - not so good. shouldn't i feel better physically?? that's what's frustrating me.
and i AM eating plenty (or at least some) protein.

same frustration here - feel great mentally but like a slight breeze could knock me over physically.

oh i feel your pain! i am right ther with you. i cut the junk food too (i had been living on christmas cookies and candy!!) and i am EXHAUSTED! gave into it yesterday and took a nap. i woke myself up after 25 minutes because i was snoring so loudly and laying in a big pile of drool! gross!!! i decided that i should start eating more fruit (the natural sugars) so i am living off of grapes, clemintines and peanut butter. the natural sugars should help the processed sugar low right?? don't acutally know...just a theory that i had...why don't i feel better??? aah this too shall pass...hopefully quickly!

I allowed myself only one peppermint milkshake....delicious! (I actually had half of Mike's too, he was appalled.) I thought the temptation would be gone after Christmas, but I saw on the Chick Fi La sign yesterday they still have them!! Maybe next week we can go together just for one....

the peppermint milkshakes are only through this friday (tomorrow!!) i'm getting one tomorrow - as a "reward" for no junk all week - i know, junk as a reward for no junk. dumb. but it's what i'm doing.

i think because processed sugar really is addictive to your system there is a sort of detox going on. the fatigue is a result of that. i can't remember if it's two weeks.... keep it up. you'll feel better in the long run. oh, and let me know how it feels, it's one of the things i haven't given up yet!!

You are a better woman than me...sugar and I are best friends! :) Good for you though, I am sure it will get easier as you develop new habits!! :)
